To generate eco-friendly environment by reducing carbon emission into the atmosphere & ZDHC Chemical Management practice to meet vision ZDHC 2020. We have launched CP (Cleaner Production). We have functional Biological ETP’s (Effluent Treatment Plant) having to ensure that the waste water has been treated according to BSR/DOE& ZDHC requirement to confirm sustainable green environment. Facility have highly equipped in-house Lab with competent lab technicians to perform onsite test & making sure that the quality of our treated water in correct range of parameter standard. We have highly trained & professionally competent EMS responsible person and ECR (Environment & Chemicals Responsible) who have distinguished academic credentials of M.Sc. in Chemistry evaluate their effective supremacy in the area of Environment & Chemical related requirements even upcoming environmental challenges. The entire EMS & ECR functions are being closely monitored & proper feedback given by-
Environmental Policy
Libas Textiles Ltd. is a Knit Composite Garments Factory do Knitting, Dyeing, Printing and Sewing for foreign brand. It is 100 export oriented garments factory. For its production nature we used water, power and other equipment’s.
Protecting the environment is the responsibility of everyone in the organization. LIBAS TEXTILES LTD is committed to sustainable construction and minimizes any adverse impact on the environment resulting from our business activities.
ENVIRONMENTAL OBJECTIVES
Management of LIBAS TEXTILES LTD. has fixed following Objectives for implementing the Environmental Management System
A. It will implement Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 standard and obtain and maintain third-party certification by
(i) Implementing Environmental Management Systems in compliance with the ISO 14001 standard.
(ii) Obtaining third-party certification to the ISO 14001.
(iii) Maintain the Environmental Management System as measured by subsequent successful surveillance audit and re-certification for ISO 14001.
B. For conservation of natural resource, reduction of the following targets will be achieved
(i) Reduction of water consumption by 21% from 829137 m3 during year 2014 to the year 2018.
(ii) Reduction of electrical consumption by 2% from 5424 MWh during year 2014 to the year 2018.
(iii) Reduction of gas consumption by 25% from 3912756 m3 during year 2014 to the year 2018.
C. To comply the identified legal requirements applicable for the organization.
D. To control the waste handling and disposal in systematic manner.
E. To effectively implement the control actions for significant environmental aspects.
F. To provide need based training to each employee.
The objectives and targets are publicized throughout the organization and all staff are committed to their achievement. These objectives will be reviewed from time to time for its continued suitability and applicability in the system.

Training, awareness:
All employee and new of recruits receive environmental awareness training, which includes the Environmental Policy, the major environmental impacts of the organization's activities and an introduction to the EMS.
Waste Management Policy
Libas Textiles Ltd is committed to minimizing, handling, storage, transportation and disposal the generation of garments by-products and others materials in an environmentally friendly manner throughout its production and operation time period.
Objectives:
- Ensure all types of waste should be recovered on site for collection by recycling contractors;
- Ensure all excavated materials should be sorted to recover the inert portions (e.g. soil and broken rock, wood) for reuse on site or disposal to designated outlets (e.g. public filling areas);
- Ensure all cardboard and paper packaging (for plant, equipment and materials) should be recovered on site, properly stockpiled in dry condition and covered to prevent cross contamination.
- Educate, train and motivate employees to implement the waste management on the site;
- Provide sufficient resources and facilities for the implementation on waste management;
- Communicate to all levels of staff regarding to their participation in this waste management plan.
Training, awareness:
Briefing and instruction on waste management will be given to site staff as well as subcontractors to increase awareness and draw attention to waste management issues and the need to minimize waste generation.
Chemical Policy
The objective of this policy is to help ensure that household cleaning, personal care, beauty and cosmetic products sold by Libas Textile Ltd. will minimize hazards to people or the environment. Libas Textile advances the development of sustainable chemistry practices.
